The I-Core is Hunter’s controller for demanding commercial and high-end residential applications. Loaded with innovative features like state of the art flow monitoring, quick system overview access, a factory-installed SmartPort®, six language capability, and a bold, backlit display, the I-Core should be considered for most high-end irrigation projects. A big reason the I-Core is so unique is its sheer versatility. The plastic cabinet version is expandable from 6 to 30 stations, and the metal cabinet model can handle up to 42. Adding a DUAL two-wire module can even expand station capability to 48. Stainless steel and pedestal models are also available, providing a broad range of enclosure choices. With other add-on options like a ROAM or ROAM XL remote and the built-in conservation-focused Solar-Sync, I-Core’s possibilities are all but limitless.

Easy Retrieve Memory

A manual back-up utility that stores complete controller scheduling and setup information in back-up memory. This allows the saved watering schedule to be restored at any time. This can be used to set a controller back to its initial settings after tampering or at the beginning of a new season.

One Touch Manual Start and Advance

Allows the user to manually start/test any station by simply pressing and holding the right arrow button, and then adding a run time to the appropriate station.

Programmable Rain Delay

The Programmable Rain Delay feature incorporates a user specified number of days to keep the controller in the OFF mode, then allows for the system to automatically revert back to scheduled irrigation. This will prevent watering during an extended period of inclement weather, but will resume watering automatically without requiring a return visit to the controller. The controller displays the number of days remaining before watering resumes.

Quick Check

The Quick Check feature makes field wiring issues easy to assess with the push of a button. Quick Check displays an ERR message when a field wiring short is detected on a particular station number.

Non-Volatile Memory

This feature offers protection against unreliable power, retaining current time, date, and program data.

Seasonal Adjustment: Global, Monthly and Solar Sync

This feature allows for quick adjustments to irrigation run times through a percentage scale. During peak season, set the seasonal adjust to 100%. If weather conditions require less water, enter the appropriate percentage value (i.e. 50%) to cut down irrigation run times without the need to adjust each station in the program. The I-Core offers three different ways to use Seasonal Adjustment to reduce water usage:

Global: Provides a seasonal adjustment value to all selected programs.

Monthly: Allows users to program a seasonal adjustment value for each month of the year. This is exclusively available on the I-Core, and works by automatically changing programmed seasonal adjustment value on the first day of every month.

Solar Sync: When connected to the I-Core, the Solar Sync ET sensor implements an automatic daily adjustment based on measured local weather.

    Add a hidden program item in this controller and the remake on the ICC2 that makes it possible to block the accidental programming of multiple valves at the same time. Very few residential systems in Texas are designed to have multiple valves running at the same time. The stacking that the Pro-C does and the ICC used to do is enough problem with most home owners or "gardener". Just make it simple to block multiple valves running and also stacking of programs unintentionally. A visible switch or hidden program.could help. As long as you keep the amperage high enough installers can make more than one station run together if desired by moving wires in the controller.
    Most systems that run multiple valves together will have large water volumes and pressures available and may run 10 to 20 each 1" to 3" valve at the same time. That has not been your market with these 3 models of controller.

    You should not have dropped the ICC series of Controllers Review by Tom

    Home owners don't catch on to the programming of the I-Core like they do on the ICC or Pro-C
    The display is easier to read on the ICC and Pro-C.
    Pump Controllers usually use the back lit display, time will tell how soon the I-Core displays needs work.
    When manually going from station to station you can not reverse directions with the I-Core. The ICC and Pro-C in manual operation will reverse with a tap on the left arrow.
    But I guess sales will determine if you made a good decision or not.
    Just don't do what weathermatic did with their pride and joy.
    When you open the panel on theirs the panel loses power, not service friendly!
