This schedule 80 PVC Class 150 flange fitting has female threads and is suitable for joining two pipes or valves in a piping system or attaching a pipe to a flat surface or flange. The National Pipe Taper (NPT) threads create a tighter seal than straight threads. This flange fitting is made of gray PVC (polyvinyl chloride) for chemical and corrosion resistance, high strength, and less weight than fittings made from metal. It is compatible with schedule 80 (thick wall) PVC pipes and fittings, and is suitable for chemical processing, industrial plating, chilled water distribution, deionized water lines, and chemical drainage and wastewater treatment systems. Pipe dimensions are represented as "connection one" x "connection two" displaying either the same or reducing sizes.

Schedule 80 PVC pipes and fittings are suitable for cold-water pressure distribution systems including irrigation, pool and spa, and potable water systems. PVC can be connected to other materials such as steel, copper, or cast iron using transition fittings. All PVC schedule 80 fittings service temperatures up to 140°F (60°C) allowing a wide range of process applications. All PVC fittings meeting ASTM International D1784 and D2466 standards for quality assurance, and is certified by National Sanitation Foundation International (NSF) for potable water service.

Unlike metal, PVC fittings never rust, scale, or pit and will provide many years of maintenance-free service and extended system life. PVC fittings are used for connecting, terminating, controlling flow, and changing the direction of piping in irrigation and drainage. PVC is generally inert to most mineral acids, bases, salts and parafinic hydrocarbon solutions. When purchasing pipe fittings, consider the application, as this will affect material type, shape, size and required durability. Fittings are available threaded or unthreaded, in many shapes, styles, and sizes
